Leadership Responsibility:
This position will oversee, establish, and coordinate the implementation of the ERP system, all Production scheduling, all purchasing related processes and systems that will support efficient and effective internal logistics for the new manufacturing facility. Functional Areas that this individual will lead are Purchasing Engineering, Packaging, Internal / External Logistics and Plant Scheduling.

This individual is responsible to ensure that the entire process takes place in a true partnering relationship with the appropriate team. The use of and mastery of facilitation skills will be required. The decisions will be made in a collaborative, consensus mode, team environment and will be utilized throughout all phases of the project. The modeling of behaviors such as living the values and eliminating unnecessarily stressful situations emphasizing each others interdependence and support is mandatory. This individual is expected to demonstrate a participative, non-authoritarian style in which employees are encouraged and supported to make significant decisions.

PART II - JOB SUMMARY

Responsibilities include partnering in maximizing product producibility, by participating in identification of design alternatives, purchasing practices, researching and developing systems and processes. Integrating purchasing processes in the new manufacturing facility to achieve the goals and objectives of the business unit.

Partners through collaboration, facilitation and consensus decision making by supporting and possibly participating in activities that would produce best in class manufacturing process, including technology and workplace layout. Collaborates with other teams on technical issues to maximize commonality and effectiveness. Additionally, collaborates on minimum inventory and just-in-time flow driven factory layouts.

Note: Must be willing to sustain significant travel

- Direct purchasing activities to meet cost , delivery and timing targets for purchasing parts.
- Facilitate ERP training ongoing..
- Lead logistics, packaging, and scheduling activities.
- Provide an environment that promotes self development and career growth through empowerment and training.
- Lead purchasing activities so that parts supply equals needs of production.
- Lead MRO purchasing activities.
- Liaison with R&D product development.
- Ensure ISO compliance.
- Promotes and assist with continuous improvement activities.

PART IV - JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Identify the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to competently perform the job.

APICs Certification is a Plus. Requires a Bachelor's Business Administration, Manufacturing, or equivalent experience. Must have a minimum of 2 to 5 years experience in both Purchasing and Material Production Control. Must a have thorough understanding of purchasing management processes, inventory control processes, scheduling of inbound and outbound materials, including finish products.
